A Night on Broadway with Alton Fitzgerald White! 2023 HCFTA Gala

The Hoogland Center for the Arts is happy to announce our annual gala, A Night on Broadway, will take place on Saturday, September 30th! The event will feature a silent auction and a thrilling performance by Broadway star Alton Fitzgerald White!
Mr. White completed a record-breaking 4,308 performances as King Mufasa in Disney’s The Lion King on Broadway, Tour and in Las Vegas. His other Broadway starring roles include Mister in The Color Purple, Coalhouse Walker Jr. in Ragtime, Ken in Smokey Joe’s Cafe, John in Miss Saigon and The Hawker in The Who’s Tommy. He made his West End debut as Ken in Smokey Joe’s Cafe in London. He was also featured in The Pulitzer Prize winning and Emmy Award Winning RENT LIVE which was performed on FOX television. Alton’s resume includes guest star roles on the hit TV series Law and Order, The Blacklist, The Good Fight, and a recurring role on BULL as Judge Tahani.
Our Gala event is our major fundraiser of the year and your sponsorship is vital to our success. Proceeds from this event help pay for the day-to-day operations of the Hoogland Center for the Arts, which is home to 20 resident groups and host to over 100 other community organizations that use our space every year. With your financial support, the Hoogland Center for the Arts will continue to be “the place where the arts come alive” in Springfield.
